CES and TV's

Today we really got to go into the giltz and glamour of CES.  CES is a spectacle that really has to be seen to believe but below is just the entrance into the Central Hall where all the big boys had there booths.

Well CES this year were all about the TVs and 3D TVs at that.  The technology has made leaps and bounds in the past few years and is definitely becoming more attractive.  Panasonic really outdid themselves with there booth.  The 3D plasmas, highlighted by the 155 inch plasma as the centerpiece as a breathtaking site.  On top of that they announced that they will be broadcasting the 2012 Olympics from London in 3D.  The demos they showed really make it something to look forward to.  No longer just a gimmick it transports you right into the event with a front row seat that no one else could deliver.

Despite how absolutely amazing Panasonics offering is, the real show stealer was LG.  With there new 55 inch OLED 3D tv (due out this year), they took 3D to a whole new level.  With the most crisp 3D in the market the depth of colors was absolutely amazing.  And to top it all off the TV is a whopping 4 millimeters thick (1/6 of an inch).  I personally saw a demo of flying butterflies that made the room appear to be filled with butterflies.  Completely immersed in the experience.  It left me walking away with a simple 'WOW'

But back to Panasonic they did have a new offering that will make your tv so much more than just a way to watch your favorite soap opera.  With complete Skype integration and a wide angle camera lens you can chat with your family right from the comfort of your couch.  Also it integrate with the Android and iOS devices to stream media and share your photos with a flick of the finger.  With a fully functional demo it was extremely impressive and a technology that I am looking forward to working with.
